B48 Engine Mount brackets for swapping an E36 or E46. These place the engine as far back as it can go and just clears the subframe at front of oil pan however minor modification/ fabrication required to provide clearance for the engine at the back of the engine bay. These can be used with stock rubber, solid or really any mount made for an E46 with M54 or S54. We use the Powerflex Track-Series Tunable Hybrid Engine Mount in our B46 race cars.
In an E46 these work perfectly with a GS6-37DZ transmission (from a 2008-2011 Euro 320D) and can use the factory transmission mount brackets from a late model E46 non-M 6 speed which then allow the use of standard transmission mounts. 22316760531 and 22316760532. The 532 part is no longer available from BMW so the best thing is to try and find a used one or buy our version.
We are working on a transmission mount bracket for the E36 but the engine mounts are the same.
These are a cheaper version of our CNC B48 Motor Mount Brackets. These weigh a little more but also won’t lighten your wallet. Laser cut and CNC bent from mild steel and welded on a jig in house at Strom you can be sure of quality and fitment.
Designed in CAD and tested for strength that will exceed the motor mount studs.
Includes bolts and washers sized for the B48 block bosses.
