Custom designed airbox for use with a B48 engine in an E46 chassis. Lightweight Nylon PA12 construction provides a sleek appearance and functional application.
Designed for out B46 race cars so that we would not need to hand make intakes. It also pulls air front the right front lower corner of the car where it is much cooler and keeps the air filter cleaner. Initially we used a cone filter and found both higher intake temps but also the filters would be quite dirty after only a couple race weekends.
Also has optional port for measuring air pressure between filter and turbo inlet to see if you are getting pressure drops due to a clogged air filter.
Uses a BMW 13727843284 air filter which is cheap and has excellent filtration and seals correctly into the air box.
Includes two piece air box, inlet tube for attachment to the turbo, hose for crankcase breather and all hardware and hose clamps.
