STROM E46 Swan Neck Carbon Wing Kit

Our new Swan Neck Wing kit was designed for our B46 race cars but will work on any E46 coupe and we think Sedan although it has not been verified.

This wing uprights bolt into the trunk hinge mounting points with CNC aluminum mounts and creates an incredibly strong structure for the wing with minimal work. Most people can not believe how securely mounted the wing is both vertically and horizontally. The wing stays extremely stable in operation. The total wing height is also set to be level with the roof so it is legal for most racing classes.

The trunk lid does have to be cut to fit the wing uprights however the cut points are outboard of the trunk seal so the trunk area is still sealed from dirt and water. We provide 3D printed plastic flanges to give the trunk a finished lip. Trunk skin mounting is up to the user although we show how we did it with aerocatches. 

The wing itself is a custom APR GT-250 pre-preg carbon element with STROM wing endplates. We chose this element for a combination of its efficient shape, low weight, strength and build quality. We provide a gurney flap for cars operating in corner speed ranges of under 120mph with higher angles of attack but it should be removed for cars operating at higher speeds or running low angle of attack.

Our kit includes the following:

• APR Pre-Preg Carbon Swan Neck Wing Custom made 67" wide with 44.75" support spacing and gurney flap
• CNC Aluminum wing uprights with hard black anodized finish
• CNC Aluminum trunk mounts with preinstalled studs so the vertical load is not directly through the mounting bolts.
• Hardware for wing 
• 3D printed Nylon trunk trim pieces around where the trunk lid has to be cut
  
• Weights in at only 19.8 pounds for the entire package including all mounts and brackets!
