Corrects the many issues of an E9X M3 with lowered ride heights. This is the ultimate suspension bolt-on for lowered E90/ E92 M3 and E82 1M cars. These replace the original front upright/knuckle and bolts in perfectly to the stock strut, thrust arm, lower control arm, tie rod, wheel bearing and brakes. Offsets lower control arm, thrust arm and tie rod down by 30mm and puts them back or close to factory geometry. The grippier and wider your tire, the more effective these become.
Benefits
The benefits listed below assume the same lowered ride height of a car with and without billet uprights:
- Increased front end grip and the car takes a "set" more quickly due to corrected roll center. The car literally rolls less with the same amount of lateral force.
- Eliminates bump steer and resets anti-dive angle due to corrected thrust arm position for more compliance over bumps when braking. Standard offset spacers for stock arms do not do this.
- Allows less camber to be run for better braking performance and easier setup window of front end alignment
- Significantly Improved tire wear as the tire is staying consistently flatter and not running on the inside edge under braking and the outside edge under full turning. If you have one of these cars you know what we are talking about!
- Even works on aggressively lowered street cars - improved compliance over bumps and smoother ride.
- CNC Manufactured from Billet 6061-T6 Aluminum for incredible strength
The short version: Increases grip, improves response, reduces tire wear and even improves ride and braking compliance in significantly lowered cars!
These are also much safer than arms with offset spacers as you are putting an incredible load through the bolt in that scenario and these also allow for more geometry correction than could be possible with just spacers.
Other Installation Notes:
- We recommend running factory control arms with these with a thrust arm bearing such as SPL, Bimmerworld, Turner etc.
- Uses factory E9X M3 wheel bearing and ABS sensor. We recommend Core4 bearings with press in studs.
- Unlikely to fit with a 17" wheel although it does depend on the wheel. The tie rod spacing to the wheel is marginal.
- Do not buy these if your car is not lowered by at least 25mm as you will get the wrong kind of correction.
